RAKSHABANDHAN CELEBRATIONS 2008

The Hindu Centre together with other Hindu and Indian organizations in Singapore is organizing the Rakshabandhan Celebrations, cultural show cum lunch on Sunday, 17 August 2008. Due to the good response from our participants for the past two years, we are encouraged to organise such an event annually.

The main objectives of this event are to provide an avenue for our local and foreign Indians to unite in the name of Rakshabandhan which is a festival to renew and strengthen bonds. It is our desire to involve more youths' in such an activity, as well as to raise the awareness of the actual purpose of tying rakhi.
